Black-faced fiberglass insulation is often chosen over white-faced insulation for durability and aesthetic considerations.
Some key reasons and benefits:
UV Resistance – The black facing typically offers better UV resistance than white-faced insulation. This makes it more suitable for areas exposed to sunlight, such as open ceilings or metal buildings.
Aesthetic Appeal – In visible applications, such as warehouses, arenas, or open-ceiling commercial spaces, black insulation blends in better with darker surfaces and beams, creating a cleaner, more uniform appearance.
Better Light Absorption – Black insulation absorbs light rather than reflecting it, reducing glare in applications like photography studios, theaters, and industrial settings..
Longevity – More resistant to degradation over time, especially in environments where exposure to light and air movement is a concern.
